A Solar PV system of 330kWp and 60kWp has been installed in HA. Hoarafushi and Molhaadhoo of the same atoll respectively by Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The Solar PV system is expected to cut down the consumption of approximately 154,084 litres of diesel in an 8 month period in Hoarafushi and about 27,565 litres of diesel consumption in an 18 month period in Molhaadhoo.
A solar PV system of 60 kWp installed in HA. Molhadhoo Island has resulted in a reduction of 27,565 liters of diesel consumption in the past 18 months. Reduction of fuel consumption minimizes the associated harmful emissions. #renewableenergy #energy @STELCOMALDIVES @TeamFenaka pic.twitter.com/alISMP5VV6
